A deep-buttoned, traditionally built sofa in the Chesterfield style, the Kelso has a smart, formal appearance but also boasts superior levels of comfort which are not normally associated with a fixed-seat sofa.

This is due to the natural latex fillings which are carefully built up over our traditional hand-tied, 8-way springing system. The result is a progressive seat, where the softer latex is backed up by the firmer support from the springs as the user takes their seat. The back is also hand sprung, and latex, cotton, canvas and wool layers are applied before the top fabric is laid over and buttoned into place.

As you might expect, each piece takes many days to complete, with meticulous attention to detail at every stage. A choice of polish finishes is available for the legs, as well as our comprehensive selection of hand-applied nail trims.
